The jailing of Dr Mohamed Haneef by Kevin Andrews is an international embarrassment. Mohamed was arrested on July 2 and was charged 12 days later on dubious evidence. After Mohamed was charged he was freed on bail by a judge. This decision was overruled by Andrews and Haneef is now in jail at the Minister's discretion. He has never seen his new born baby. This blog is dedicated to freeing Dr Haneef.

- I support the concept that people are innocent until proven guilty and people can only be jailed after a judge or jury has weighed up the evidence and made an independent decision.

Dr Haneef has been accused, by an anonymous source, of planning to destroy a gold coast landmark.
Anyone who believes this without seeing any evidence is, as we say in the trade, an idiot.
